Senior IT Project Manager

Project Leadership & Delivery Excellence

• Strategic Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, execution roadmaps, milestones, timelines, budgets, resource allocation strategies, and delivery schedules for multiple concurrent software projects.

• End-to-End Project Management: Lead projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, deployment, and post-launch support while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Scope & Change Management: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and effectively manage scope changes through structured change control processes.

• Schedule & Budget Management: Ensure projects remain within approved timelines and budgets while maintaining quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and technical challenges early, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.

• Quality Assurance Oversight: Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure products meet functional, security, usability, and performance standards before release.

Agile Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Agile Project Management: Lead Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming, and Release Planning.

• Process Improvement: Continuously optimize project management methodologies, workflows, documentation standards, and delivery processes to improve efficiency and predictability.

• Resource Management: Coordinate engineering resources across multiple projects while balancing workload, priorities, and delivery commitments.

• Performance Monitoring: Establish project KPIs, monitor progress, track velocity, identify deviations, and provide executive-level reporting on project health.

Leadership, Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage collaboration between Software Engineers, AI Engineers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders.

• Executive Communication: Present project status, risks, financial updates, delivery forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive management.

• Client & Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders by providing transparent communication and proactive expectation management.

• Team Development: Mentor junior project managers, facilitate knowledge sharing, promote accountability, and foster a high-performance project culture.

Technical and Professional Prerequisites

• Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager managing enterprise software development, SaaS platforms, cloud-based solutions, or AI technology projects.

• Project Portfolio: Demonstrated success delivering multiple medium-to-large-scale technology projects with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Methodology Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience implementing Agile (Scrum is mandatory), Kanban, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies depending on project requirements.

• SDLC Mastery: Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, architecture planning, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

• Project Management Platforms: Advanced proficiency with Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Notion, and Confluence.

• Technical Knowledge: Working understanding of software architecture, web/mobile applications, REST APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, database concepts, DevOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Documentation & Reporting: Expert ability to produce Project Charters, Management Plans, Risk Registers, RAID Logs, Sprint Reports, and Executive Dashboards.

• Planning & Estimation: Strong experience in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Capacity Planning, Resource Forecasting, Cost Estimation, and Budget Tracking.

Academic Background and Professional Mindset

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Project Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

• Professional Certifications: Credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe are highly desirable.

• Leadership Competencies: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and strategic analytical capabilities with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines.

Advanced Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing AI/ML product development projects.

• Experience delivering SaaS products.

• Experience working in startup or high-growth technology companies.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience coordinating DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker-based deployment environments.

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

• Experience working with distributed or international engineering teams and managing multiple enterprise clients simultaneously.

• Familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting platforms.
