Position Overview
NextWave AI Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a seasoned Senior ML/AI Engineer to drive the architectural design, development, and deployment of mission-critical AI products. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for scaling our AI capabilities, leading the transition from experimental research to high-availability production systems, and ensuring technical excellence across our product suite. This role demands a hands-on expert capable of navigating complex ML pipelines, LLM-based architectures, and distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering
Production System Design: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade AI and ML pipelines capable of handling high-concurrency requests with minimal latency.
Model Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end model lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, fine-tuning, and robust deployment strategies.
LLM & Generative AI: Drive the development and implementation of advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, LLM fine-tuning, and prompt engineering strategies to solve complex business problems.
System Optimization: Continuously monitor, debug, and optimize model performance, accuracy, and system efficiency. Implement caching strategies and vector database optimizations (e.g., Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate).
Strategy & Mentorship
Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical authority. Mentor junior engineering talent, conduct rigorous code reviews, and champion engineering best practices (CI/CD, MLOps, clean code).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Backend, and DevOps teams to align technical delivery with product roadmap objectives and business goals.
Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of cutting-edge developments in Deep Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision. Proactively identify and integrate relevant research breakthroughs into our products to maintain a competitive advantage.
Professional Prerequisites
Technical Expertise
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing and deploying production-grade AI/ML applications.
Core Programming: Mastery of Python and extensive experience with core ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
MLOps & Deployment: Proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying scalable microservices using FastAPI or Flask.
Database Proficiency: Strong command over SQL, NoSQL, and Vector Databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone) for efficient data retrieval.
Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience with cloud-based AI services on AWS, GCP, or Azure (S3, EC2, Lambda, Vertex AI).
Tools & Version Control: Advanced proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and MLOps workflows.
Education & Mindset
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
Professional Standard: This position requires significant, verified industry experience. Candidates relying solely on academic projects, personal certifications, or internships will not be considered.
Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to independently solve ambiguous technical challenges and iterate rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Generative AI, specifically in building conversational agents or complex agents.
Background in GPU optimization, distributed training, and parallel processing.
Prior experience in a startup or rapid-growth SaaS environment.
Relevant industry certifications (AWS/GCP Machine Learning/Data Science).
